TREND
TREND yields improved understanding in soil and water quality trends by extrapolating from the past to the future and by recognising adverse trends. It focuses on long-term developments in the soil-groundwater-sediment-river system and investigates how the functioning of its compartments is influenced by anthropogenic and natural perturbations. As opposed to the spatial aspects of other sub projects it primarily deals with time scales such as evolution of soil-water-sediment-river ecosystems as a result of global changes.
