A summary shows the main results of Jordi Batlle-Aguilar’s PhD theses “Groundwater flow and contaminant transport in an alluvial aquifer: in-situ investigation and modelling of a brownfield with strong groundwater - surface water interactions” with the University of Liege concerning the Flémalle cokery site. The summary and a link to the PhD thesis and PhD defence are available on the AquaTerra Publications website.
Link to PhD thesis and defenceNew article on impact of AquaTerra research
The new article “The impact of AquaTerra-research on water management in the Dommel catchment” shows examples of direct implementation of scientific knowledge that has been developed within the framework of AquaTerra. A Dutch version of this article has already been published, see: Suzanne van der Meulen, Eric Kessels, Jos Brils (2008) "Wetenschap vindt de weg naar de praktijk: het stroomgebied van de Dommel". H2O 5, 2008.
